As an atheist I don't believe in god and live my life according to my will with out any religious beliefs. All the time I keep thinking about why we and the universe exist. And what is there for me to do in this world, I felt human-beings life is miserable and meaningless and there is nothing that is necessary for us to do. Hence we are doomed to die for nothing. Does it matter for us to live a miserable life and die as if we never existed just like a chemical reaction.

If your an atheist then you should have a strong philosophy to lead your life, then what would be it? Live your life as you wish with no religious or social limits, no morals or rules and in the end die and get completely destroyed into dust in this vast universe as any other living beings like all animals, birds, micro-organisms like bacteria and viruses etc. This where you would envy a theist where your journey never ends, even after you are dead. As they would say the soul is eternal.

Yes we do have a choice. I have been thinking about this for a long time and slowly I developed a thought when I saw a TV episode on discovery channel where they showed the possibility of human beings to become immortals and live for ever with the help of scientific developments and nano technology etc. And this can happen in our life time, but if you want to become immortal you need to be rich, as rich as possible to have a better chance.

You might ask what would we do after achieving immortality? There are a lot of things we can do. We can keep exploring the questions that troubled us like, why we and the universe exists etc. Or live our life having fun or do anything you wanted to do, and there will be no reason for us to want to trust god, everything we need we can achieve ourselves and become gods.

Finally what I would like to say is living like an immortal and suffering for answers is way better than dieing and becoming to dust as if we never existed.
